The Outcast Star is the first star to ever travel so far that it will actually leave it’s galaxy. Speeding along at 1.5 MILLION miles an hour, the Outcast Star was a twin star that orbited around the black hole at the center of our Milky Way. The twin was sucked into the black hole because its orbit came too close and the dense gravity of the black hole drew it inside the hole.
The explosion that came from the twin sun entering the black hole flung the remaining star far away from the black hole like a stone in a slingshot. It is still traveling to a distant place between galaxies. http://www.spacedaily.com/report/Hyperfast_Star_Was_Booted_From_Milky_Way_999.html
